Independent Contract Interpreter
At 43 years old, with no previous knowledge of sign language or connection to either the Deaf or Interpreting communities Kevin graduated from Front Range Community College in Denver Colorado in 2005 with an A.A.S. in Sign Language Interpreting. He worked his way through college as the Senior Staff Writer for the Front Range newspaper “The Front Page”. Kevin became involved with the Silent Athletic Club of Colorado and for three years was a key member of their fundraising team before relocating to Oklahoma. In his short career Kevin has interpreted in a variety of environments including medical, political, church, workshop, and informational settings as well as many other community settings. Kevin served as the Co-Chair for the 2013 OKRID state conference and is presently the Co-Chair for the 2020 conference. Kevin has been employed as a Video Relay Interpreter for Sorenson Communications for the last 13 years and has worked in the K-12 and Post- Secondary educational field for the last 15 years. Kevin currently holds an RID (CT), an EIPA (3.9) and a certificate of completion from CSUN for Oncology interpreter training.
