Karen King

Retired Independent Contract Interpreter

In 2020 marked a 42- year interpreting journey for Karen. She states “I’m forever grateful that God chose this path. Eighteen years were spent in educational settings, then 24 years as a community interpreter (the BEST place ever!). Why?? Because I’ve met so many wonderful people. All the interpreters I’ve had the privilege to be part of your team, I admire each of you. Members of our Deaf Community…. Thank you so very much for all your patience in teaching and correcting me. I appreciate all I’ve learned and glad we’ve shared this journey together.”

We thank Karen for her 42 years of service to the Deaf community. No other interpreter was as requested as Karen. It has always been clear the Deaf community loves her. Although now retired, she continues to advocate, and fellowship with the Deaf and interpreters, always willing to offer assistance in any way. She is a treasure and blessing. Thank you Karen!
